Oh Happy Day – A Second Birthday Party

Oh Happy Day was a party for a colorful little girl on a warm spring day. The sun, clouds, and heart-shaped raindrops were incorporated throughout the house, accented by tons of bright colors and traditional birthday party decorations. We envisioned an old-fashioned home birthday party, updated with fun decorations and the now mandatory bounce house.
I am constantly searching out unique childrenswear looks for my blog, Mama’s Heels, and couldn’t resist the urge to incorporate a playful design aesthetic into Anna’s special day.

Shiloh’s Playroom

I wanted to create a colorful place for my son as he grew up.  He loves color, and I wanted the space to be very colorful and fun.  I didn’t have much of a budget, just enough for paints and a few nicknacks, but I loved how it came out, and more than anything he loves it, too (so does his little friends).  The best part for me is that this playroom is solely that.  He can go in there and play and make a mess, and I can close the door when he’s done until I have a chance to tidy up.  Less stress.  This whole project was @ $250.00. The largest part of the budget was to purchase all of the decals and wallpaper appliques.

Malu’s Sunny B-Day!

For my baby girl’s second birthday I’ve decided to create a party inspired by the sun, since she loves sunny days and always asks me to draw the sun and put a smile on it. It was the first time in my life I’ve done all the party decoration by myself. I had tones of fun doing it and I’ve worked a lot to get it all done before my due date (my baby boy was born just 13 days before the party).
