An Infants Private Playground Nursery

We redecorated a spare bedroom and transformed it into a Nursery. The room was previously used by young family members whenever they came to visit. They painted, drew, wrote and scribbled on all the walls. Using them as their own personal canvases to express their artistic personalities. With our permission, of course. Once we found out we were pregnant we begun to brainstorm ideas and scoured the Internet for inspiration. The video linked below highlights the transformation from a crayon crime scene into the infants private playground its become. The before and after.

Adam’s Nautical Nursery

We wanted a special room dedicated for our first Baby. We decided to have a room with nautical design inspiration because here were we live in North Germany at Baltic Sea in a harbor city. Our baby will grow up surrounded by nautical and sailing influences and this was the best argument for us to choose this theme.Life quality here is strongly benefiting by the beaches, the ocean and the maritime  climate. We live in a small apartment and for the birth of our baby family and friends came to visit, thats why we decided to add a very small guest corner.

Mackenzie’s DIY Nursery

I never thought it would be so difficult to decide on a theme for my first child’s nursery! I wasn’t thrilled with any of the “bedrooms in bag” and I about passed out when i saw the cost of nursery furniture… so with a tight budget in mind and a somewhat modern/simple/clean/fun nursery as the goal, I decided to see what I could do on my own — and by on my own, I mean with the help of my incredibly sweet and talented group of family and friends! It’s still a work in progress, but overall, I love what we have created.
