Purple nursery

Loved putting our little girls nursery together! Orchid Purple paint by Behr with black and white stripes make her room able to grow with her. This nursery will easily convert to her big girl room as she gets older with Lavender damask linens, Lavender purple comforter and black and white striped lamp and storage accents. We found an old telephone table at a yard sale and painted it the same Orchid Purple and the black and white marble book shelf was a steal at Home Goods. Her nursery set was found at Nebraska Furniture Mart and the glider is from BuyBuy Baby. Special touches also include a handmade mobile, curtains and name sign as well as a Lemonlee Doll and her sisters painted heartbeat. All this has me saying “I’m proud to be y-orchid, Enslie!”

A sweet and feminine periwinkle nursery for our little girl! Purple was my first choice of color for her nursery, with gold and pink accent colors. This room is truly a safe haven at three in the morning!

This is a purple Mediterranean slumber for our second daughter, Ellison Claire.

Mary, the proud mama of a baby girl and photographer behind Birchtree Photography. Mary was thrilled to be expecting a baby girl but when it came time to plan the nursery she said, “I knew I didn’t want a “pink, girly” nursery–even though we are expecting a girl.”   Mary painted the walls a color similar to Benjamin Moore’s lily lavender 2070-61. Then she wanted to break up the purple in the room and decided a stencil was the perfect way to accomplish her goal.  She chose the Moroccan Dream Allover Stencil, one of our most popular Moroccan patterns.  She painted the pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore’s sea foam 2123-60, To complete the space she added delicate white accessories.

There are so many elements in this nursery that we love and we had so much fun pulling it together! From the mirrored wall with wood paneling to the amazing grey paisley wallpaper, this room is such a sophisticated yet sweet space for Katie.

I had such a blast planning Lily’s Nursery.  I think that I have been planning it for years subconsciously:). I decided to go with more purples rather then pinks. I also knew I wanted to create a wall art using unique frames with a center piece being a monogram of the first letter of her name.

This nursery was near and dear to me, since it was designed for my youngest daughter nine months ago. This Purple/gray nursery has a vintage, chic feel with a few modern pieces and personalized DIY elements.

A perfect blend of purple and gray with a splash of yellow.  And of course, OWLS!!!!
