Jessi Malay’s Floral Nursery

We knew early on that we wanted to incorporate this gorgeous floral wallpaper. Even though the space isn’t huge, the high ceilings and generous amount of natural light definitely make the room feel spacious enough for this oversized floral design. To add warmth, gold accents were incorporated throughout the room. We sourced items from different shops to achieve a unique and inviting space and that also added personality to the room. The acrylic crib and white dresser are slightly different styles yet compliment each other beautifully. We kept the larger pieces of furniture white and added color to the room with the smaller decor elements in pink, gold, and sage green.

Soft Neutral Nursery

My client knew she wanted something neutral and serene, and she loved animals. She hinted at the idea of a wallpapered accent wall, and of course, I convinced her to wallpaper the whole space.
It took a while to choose the wallpaper since it had to be very neutral and soft, and it also had to have an animal theme (but nothing too juvenile so the wallpaper can last many years). We settled on the perfect pattern that had a hand-drawn feel and was grown-up enough to be versatile.
I chose a gorgeous neutral furniture collection that has a slight rubbed finish to add some warmth and texture to the space. The small iron details also add a touch of masculinity to pair with the very subtle pale blue accents.
Any animal-themed nursery has to have these baby animal photographs, and my client was in love with them from day one. Half the fun is going through all the options and choosing the right combination of animals. Of course, these are framed with plexiglass instead of real glass since they are hanging over the crib, and they are very well secured to the wall.
I love the combination of taupe and gray. It may sound like two neutral tones will compete, but they actually work so well together, especially since the wood flooring has so many variations of color. We also pulled in elements of ivory and white. This is one of my all-time favorite gliders, and every client I’ve suggested it to loves how modern it is while still remaining cozy and comfortable.
This nursery, like most, isn’t a very large room, so I opted to add a mirror over the changing table, which helps to open up the space and bounce light around the room. I love how it reflects the great rope light fixture as well.  Lastly, I always try to sneak in some greenery if at all possible, and these little wall vases were the perfect way to do that!

Adler’s Room

This was what we did prior to baby Adler being born.  We painted the walls a dark gray.  Re-purposed and painted an old dresser green to use for a changing table.  Re finished the rocker with a simple coat of white paint.  And to top it all off we made a magnetic chalk board wall behind the crib and trimmed it out to make it pop.  Lastly added a few floating book shelves, a lamp, some accessories and a rug to match the color scheme and we now have a wonderful baby room!

{Charlotte’s Chateau} French Inspired Nursery

When it came time to design Charlotte’s nursery I studied pictures I had taken in the Loire Valley in France. How could you not be inspired… The Loire Valley is home to more than 300 Chateaux. Next I found a fabric that inspired the color scheme. I ordered wood letters online and painted them gold. The dresser and mirror are antiques that were mine as a child. I love the way it all came together!

Parisian Chic Girl’s Nursery

We met client J at an industry event – she actually won the set of luxury custom crib bedding we were giving away (shown in the nursery photos above). Upon delivering the news of her win, J hired us to make a complete nursery design for a Paris girl’s room. It just happened that our black and white luxury crib bedding matched the baby girl nursery ideas she already had in mind! With a color palette of black, white and hot pink for the Parisian nursery theme, the nursery interior designers of Little Crown Interiors jumped right in, to help J create a Paris theme nursery worth talking about. Our baby girls nursery design started with a nursery floor plan, and we took it from there. As with every single nursery design we have ever created, there is always something to challenge our skills. For this Paris girl’s room, J had some very modern pieces in mind (such as the existing modern nursery furniture), but baby girl nursery ideas were also coming from Dad, keeping us on our toes. In the end, our challenge was to design the Paris theme nursery to suit both parents’ taste. The beautiful photos of our completed nursery interior design project show the striking color palette and fabulous patterns we incorporated into our baby girl’s nursery ideas. This Parisian nursery design in black, white and hot pink is a baby girl’s dream – something she can grow into as she grows into a glamorous big girl. As nursery designers, it’s our highest goal to create a special space for each family to love, and we think this family will love their nursery design for years to come.

Safari Nursery

We raised our hands to knock on the door of Client E’s 2nd story apartment and were greeted by a sweet brunette with her hand on her belly. There’s nothing better as a nursery designer than seeing how each new client reacts to her first pregnancy. After the introductions, she explained to us her hopes of creating a Safari theme nursery in her spall apartment loft space. E wanted her baby boy’s room to be sophisticated yet whimsical and detailed her favorite colors as taupe, khaki and olive green. When looking for boy’s nursery ideas, E had settled on one thought for her nursery furniture: dark. Naturally, we presented her with our favorite espresso changing table and slate iron crib from Bratt Decor. Next, we delved into fabrics, gathering earthy silks and sateens for her luxurious custom crib bedding set. Even in her small space, our floor plan allowed for a cozy nursery glider, topped with throw pillows and their family heirloom plush monkey – “CoCo”.

Retro Modern Nursery

The homeowner asked for a designer nursery with a color palette of aqua and orange with a highly customized look. This modern nursery features a custom made upholstered crib in a sturdy microsuede fabric and an entirely custom changing table and bookcase. To add even more personalization to this nursery design, we added a large-scale “name” art creation using wood wall letters and metal wallpaper, and a DNA artwork canvas showcasing Mom and Dad’s DNA in this unique retro nursery. Vintage Modern Nursery

This vintage nursery is truly one-of-a-kind. The back wall is covered in hot pink and silver damask wallpaper, accented by picture frame molding, a large custom cut monogram and two stunning lucite sconces. Silhouette style artwork and the custom monogram are repeated throughout the room. The Empire Rocker by Nurseryworks is upholstered in navy with a custom made pillow with an embroidered monogram. A lucite chandelier hangs down, completing this amazing and modern nursery! Design by Little Crown Interiors.
