Our client desired a romantic and serene nursery to welcome their first baby girl – yet they had the challenge of dealing with a low ceilings loft space.
The explosion of colors makes the children really happier and more creative. The warm yellow and orange colors for the sleeping and relaxing zones in the living room are dominated because of the desire of the clients to live in the apartment only during the winter. There is some bal¬ance with the “cold” accent in blue. The white is the connection between all colors. The children room is for two kids with their own characteristics and wishes. There are a few colors zone – the pink for the girl zone, blue for the boy zone and white, orange and yellow for the common zone.
This is our first little boy and we designed his Loft nursery to go with our downtown urban theme.
It was a hot summer day and I desparately needed an activity to entertain my toddler. Pam cracked up as I tolder her I was enroute to Ikea so my son could burn some energy. Turns out a trip to Ikea’s children’s section is equivalent to a day at the park for him and a successful shopping trip for me! We managed to spend most of our time in the show room where the Kura Bed was on display. I find it funny how every time I visit that crazy Sweedish megastore, I stare at this bed and think, what can I do with a bright “Ikea blue” loft. We’ll now I’ll take cue from Griffin’s mom Aliza and paint it brown…Genius!
