Aria’s Nursery

I designed this nursery for my younger sister. She is having her first baby in August and I offered to design and install her nursery as a gift for her. Her requests were simple: she wanted something beautiful, classy, that inspired peace, and with no too much pink! I found loads of inspiration on Project Nursery Instagram page. I would describe this nursery style as Boho Chic. I hope you can feel inspired by it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Kingsley’s XO Nursery

This room was such a blast to design. With welcoming our second baby girl, so soon after our first (22 months later), I was worried that I’d be a one-trick pony and just replicate our first daughter’s nursery, which I love so very much! But, I was determined to give sweet Kingsley a room all her own and equally determined to step outside of my design comfort zone.
I had my eye on the Love Wallpaper by Sissy + Marley for Jill Malek since we first brought it into The Project Nursery Shop. With that as my base and Pottery Barn Kids onboard to partner together, I was giddy and nervous to start adding tons of texture and patterns! From the Hazel Rug to the large X O prints and neon sign on top of the wallpaper, I was all in to be funky and original.
At times, I almost retreated back to the comfort of solid colors and bare walls, but my Project Nursery colleagues encouraged me to go for it. Throw in a fiddle leaf tree, a letterboard with song lyrics and some pink Converse, and it’s a room I know I’ll love for years to come.
Catch up on all the fun from moving while 8 months pregnant to bringing this room to life with the whole fam.

The Loveliest Nursery

We were the crazy folks who picked up and moved cities when I was 36 weeks pregnant. My gracious mother let us crash at her house while we sold one house and bought another. This meant that my firstborn’s nursery had to be put on hold. Fast forward four months into her life, and, goodness, creating the nursery was worth the wait! It’s currently the only completed room in our house, and that’s because it’s my favorite. This room–by far–has the most thought, articulation, and love put into it. The first time my husband walked into this room, he said, “Wow. It’s so white in here.” That little comment was music to my ears.

Oliver’s Nursery

We wanted to create a personal and vibrant nursery that our little boy can grow with. We started with fairly neutral walls in two shades of yellow, then painted the stripes on the wall for his name in blue. Gradually we added the furniture and I made a lot of the things you can see – bunting, lamp & light shades, owls, polka dot trim on the curtain tie backs and matching ribbon for the central heart. We had a lot of fun!

Baby Be Mine, Valentine’s Day Party

This party was a super fun get together for my son and his baby buddies. We had Angel food cake, Neapolitan cupcakes with strawberry filling, mini sandwiches and chocolate covered strawberries. Of course cheerio cups and fruit were plentiful for the kiddos as well.  Each kid received a valentine card along with a box of valentine message hearts.  Overall it was a fun, playful, action packed event!

Eskimo Kisses & Valentine’s Wishes Party

To me there is nothing sweeter than an Eskimo kiss shared with my little girl. Her little nose just begs for them. It is this simple gesture of love that has inspired our Valentines Day event this year. We invited a few of her little friends and their moms to celebrate the sweetness with us.
A canvas painted in a soft ombre blush was the backdrop to our dessert table.
“Eskimo kisses” (Hershey Kisses), “Eskimo Pies” (Ice cream sandwiches) and “snowballs” (coconut covered marshmallows), Eskimo cookies and igloo cake pops were set out for the little invitees to enjoy.
The centerpiece, an igloo cake set on a hand-made cake stand spray-painted metallic gold made the party theme come alive.

The little Eskimo Illustration was modeled after one of my favorite winter photos of my daughter all bundled up in her winter coat with just her sweet face peaking out. So cozy and cute!

Hues of blush, gold and aqua came together to create a soft, girly party setting.

Like soft fluffy snowballs, tulle Pom toppers adorn some of our guest treats, and pom wands doubled as centerpieces for the dining table.

The girls enjoyed coloring their Eskimo Printable Color Me page and loved all the sweets!
