I became totally stumped in my nursery design when i found out i was having my fourth boy! Typically a mom will design a mixture of boy and girl nurseries in their lifetime. Not me, I was thrown a monkey wrench and now needed to conjure up some fresh ideas without reusing old ones.
I wanted to create a nursery that was feminine and bright, but not too “babyish”. We also wanted to stick to a budget and completed a few DIY projects for the room. My mom was a huge help and did the sewing for the curtains and crib skirt and helped with the wall stencil!
When we found out we were having a boy…I wanted to steer clear of anything that was too “babyish” or typical for a little boy’s room. We wanted to go with a clean, modern, and whimsical space that little Ethan could grow into.
My husband and I wanted to give our daughter a fresh and girly nursery. I would still love to add some more things but I am in love with what we have done so far.
I wanted to create a simple and modern nursery for our baby boy. I also wanted to make sure the room could grow with him. I absolutely love the way it all came together.
a pretty space for our little girl with touches of woodland creatures and nature inspired elements. vintage family pieces with brand new touches to give the room a fresh pop. not sure why the photos are so small, but for the full photo album visit: http://picasaweb.google.com/100910667922253828960/VioletsNursery02?authkey=Gv1sRgCLLopbuYiuSAdQ#
