Pallet Wall Industrial Boy’s Room

I am so excited to share my recent makeover project with the help of RH Baby & Child. This one is especially near and dear because it was for my four year old son, Chase! For the complete story, check out my #ProjectChase journey on the blog:

Sebastian’s Colorful Big Boy Room

Sebastian’s big boy room is bright and fun, much like the little man himself. We live in a loft, and his bedroom gets almost no natural light, so every design decision centered around creating a bright and happy space for him to play and sleep. He loves trains, trucks and cars, so there is a subtle transportation theme going on with out it screaming, “LOOK AT ALL THE TRUCKS!”

DIY Nursery

We turned our sitting room into the nursery. We knew we wanted our baby as close to us as possible and on the same floor, so we ended up redoing our sitting room to become our new nursery. We utilized every inch of the space for storage and  functionality. Our base colors are cream, brown, and yellow with a pop of raspberry pink. All the wall decor was handmade by daddy to be and me. The changing table was repurporsed and I used wall decals to add more excitement to the piece.  We also managed to finish the entire space for under $350, and that’s including the major furniture pieces as well! The lovely http://mcchillinphotography.com/ captured all of our pictures for us!

Leighton’s Romantic Rose Room

The customer had already purchased some beautiful items and needed some help pulling them all together. She had acquired a decorative scroll hanging that she had hung over the bed, and rather than take it down we decided I should paint around it and that it should become part of the design. The result was a unique three dimensional edge to my decorative cartouche. Elegant Rose vines grace many corners of the room as well as around the cartouche.

Gender Neutral Nursery

We had a really hard time finding crib sets that were gender neutral, and I knew I didn’t want to use brown at all. I really fell in love with these shades of teal/turquoise/aqua, so I knew I wanted to incorporate that into the nursery. We decided to paint the walls two shades of grey, separated by a white chair rail. We added the orange/yellow artwork to include a splash of more vibrate color. I think I will still add some poms to the ceiling on the crib side to balance it out a bit.

Pink Princess Girl’s Room, Celebrity Kids

This celebrity princess room was designed for a very special 7 year old girl who spent countless hours twirling around as either a fairy or a princess! Being the only girl of four children, we were told that there simply could not be enough pink in this room and so I set out to design an opulent little palace for this sweet little princess. We started by selecting furniture that would last into adulthood and yet had that feminine edge. We custom designed the 100% dupioni silk bedding and added sweet gems and jewels to the pillows and valances. The feather boa lamp added a touch of playfulness and boasted teardrop crystals to coordinate with the stunning chandelier. I topped it off with my own Sherri Blum Regal Crown Monogram Plaque with her initial and my best-selling Storybook Canvas Wall Art. The end result was a room fit for a princess of any age! Designed for the daughter of Lisa and Buddy Valastro of TLC’s The Cake Boss.
