Black and White Unique and Modern Nursery

Unique and Modern Nursery

Welcome to our baby girl’s nursery! So excited to share it with all of you! Her nursery is in a modern style with very neutral tones and pops of color through books and toys. This nursery is quite transitional in that we have used pieces that can either grow with our baby girl or be used for a second child down the road should God will it.

Celestial Inspired Boys Room

This room was designed for a little boy to update his nursery to his “big boy” room.  The bead board wainscotting, convertible toddler bed and dresser were existing.  My client wanted a “celestial” theme that was not too “themey”.  This drove the design in that most (although not all) of the elements of the design were suggestive of the celestial theme, rather than literal.  This is how I prefer to approach children’s room design because it allows the room the grow with the child.  Who wants to completely redecorate every couple of years?!

Grayson’s Modern Grey, Navy and White Nursery

When we found out we were pregnant I already knew regardless of having a boy or girl we would have a modern and neutral nursery filled mostly with greys and white with elephants. If it was a girl, we would have added coral for a pop of color, but when we found out we were having a boy, it was all about adding navy.  I loved every minute of planning the nursery for my sweet boy and it ended up being perfect!

Small Modern Nursery

The room we had to work with is very small so I knew I had to be efficient with my use of the space. I also wanted to achieve a feminine, but not too girly look for our baby  so I used navy blue with light pink accents for this modern small nursery.

Automotive Junior Room

Boys & cars go hand in hand. When designing for a 4 year old boy, we didn’t have to look far for a creative theme when transforming this space into a cool & contemporary junior room. From a chain-link lamp, a headlight pendant, and your classic black and white racing pattern, there was no shortage of details for the littlest of car lovers.

Contemporary Grey and White Nursery

Contemporary Grey and white nursery with blue accents.  Chevron patterns provide a contemporary feel pairing well with traditional off- white furniture.

Zoology Themed Nursery

Baby Boy Zoology Themed Nursery

When we found out we were expecting a boy I started looking for nursery ideas right away. I fell in love with the Michael Miller Zoology fabric, and the rest of the nursery kind of shaped itself around that.

Elizabeth’s Floral Pink Peony and Mint Nursery

I wanted to create a feminine, soft, colorful, and classic space for my little girl and I to enjoy. My hope is that it can be a room she will enjoy growing into as she becomes a young lady. I work as an interior designer and architect – this has been my favorite project so far and one I am most proud of!

UPDATED Yellow and Neutral Boy Nursery – classic modern

We wanted a nursery that could work for either gender in case our next child is a girl. My favorite color is yellow, so we painted unique stripes around the room. The inspiration for the stripes is an actual paint chip. We chose a gradient from dark on the bottom to light near the ceiling with small white stripes between. I think it makes the room feel larger and taller.
Since the the walls are so bright and modern, we wanted the rest of the room to feel classic and traditional in contrast. Most of pur accents are whites and neutrals to balance the bright walls.

Lilac & Gray Nursery

For this nursery I went with sophisticated elegance. I used purple and gray as the base color palette and bright blue accents to give the room a vibrant pop of color. I decided on the glass columns and a gray ceiling to introduce a new style to the room while staying within the decided color scheme.

Star Wars!

A classic Star Wars motif with a modern feel for a young boy that loves Star Wars.

Zeb’s Monochrome Big Boy’s Room

Being a tomboy as a child, I was so excited to find out that my first-born was going to be a boy. I mean, after spending my childhood, jumping out of trees and playing with matchbox cars, I thought I’d be at a loss if I had a girl (although turns out I do just fine!).
Up until late last year, we were renovating an older house with the view of selling it so poor Zeb didn’t really get a nursery. Seriously! All he had was his cot (and later toddler bed), some drawers and a bookcase! So, obviously we were both excited when it was decided that Zeb’s room would be the first room to be done.

Vintage Inspired American Boys Study & Playroom

Our clients have this amazing Country Farmhouse in the middle of the city complete with this perfectly intimate space flanking the hallway to the bedrooms, just asking to be Styled into a space suitable for growing, sports addicted boys! We took this space from a bright and airy, almost vacant room to a handsome, rugged and most importantly, inspiring space for the boys to learn, read, do homework and study.

Olivia’s Big Girl Room

I am always designing pieces for modern kids’ rooms, so when was time for Raquel and I to decorate Olivia’s modern bedroom, I knew this task would be a fun one. The goal for this space was to design a fresh room that was full of color. We wanted a roomy, comfortable, bright, and more importantly, a room that was Liv’s reflection. And I think we nailed it!

Wesley’s Yellow and Gray Elephant Nursery

I wanted to design a room that would be perfect to grow with our baby boy, nothing too babyish but still very fun. I love the neutral, gray color scheme and adding in a pop of color with the accents (that could easily be changed out at a later time). There is still a lot more I want to incorporate into the room (a rug and more DIY decor projects), but with my due date fast approaching this will be an ever-evolving project!

Bon Voyage – Transportation Theme Baby Mobile

Our clients requested us to create a custom deco mobile inspired by the transportation theme. The mobile should complement the room color hues, the bedding and nursery decor, they prefer vibrant color palette, although to keep it clean and chic to complement their modern baby nursery.

Sweet Lavender & Mustard Nursery

A sophisticated, yet soothing nursery for our second daughter. Early on, I chose a color palette of Mustard, Lavender and Gray. It was a fresh combination for a sweet girl’s nursery.
