Ava’s Cherry Blossom Nursery

My husband and I used white, grey, and pink to create the cherry blossom nursery. We ordered a decal offline, and crafted several of the items. The crib sheet, pillow, curtains, wreath and button art “Ava” sign were all handmade, putting our friends, families, and own creativity to work. We also had a friend redesign her closet so that it was more functional and looked way better!

Serene Cherry Blossom Nursery

We wanted to create a space that was calming and comfortable for our new baby, something that was appropriate for a little one but could easily grow with her.  We wanted to make sure there were a lot of organized storage options because the room lacks a closet.  While we wanted the room to be girly, we also wanted to avoid it becoming over-the-top pink.  And most importantly for us, we needed to put together a nice space on a budget!  IKEA to the rescue!

Sparkly Cherry Blossom Nursery

This beautiful nursery was designed by the mommy-to-be, who has since become a mommy. The fabrics are lavender, silver and white. The bedding is lilac-gray-silver damask bedding by Carousel Designs. I painted a soft metallic silvery Cherry Blossom tree that shimmers and is embellished with crystals. The quote above the changing table says
“From the moment I first saw you I have been waiting for you.You know I will adore you….til eternity…”~Be My Baby lyrics

Baby Girl’s Simple, Neutral Nursery

We wanted to create a nursery with clean, simple lines. The furniture in the rest of our home is dark brown/espresso, and we wanted the nursery to match. We also wanted a room that our daughter can grow into, so we didn’t want it to be too babyish. And although we’re having a girl, we didn’t want to saturate her room with pink. Our baby will be born in the Year of the Dragon, which inspired the custom print.

Her colors are blush and bashful…

I’ve had so much fun creating this beautiful nursery for my 2nd adopted child from South Korea. It has helped me get through the wait to gather pretty things to put in her nursery. I wanted to create a room that was girly and pretty, and I also incorporated sweet Asian accents throughout. I love finding bargains, and not one single thing in the room was full price!

Chic Nursery with Vintage Accents

The idea was to create a chic nursery with layered patterns, rich colors and crystal accents. Hot pink, turquoise, and robin’s egg blue are set against a rich background of chocolate walls with ivory wood wainscoting for an elegant, classic look. Ivory furnishings and artwork were used to “pop” against the chocolate backdrop. Floor to ceiling dupioni silk draperies highlight the dramatic 10′ ceiling height.
