Little Letty’s Eclectic Nursery

Remember when we were young and we shaped, defined, and questioned our own world? We created our own ideas of circles, dots, and lines. Nothing was straight; colors were mixed; brushes were happily damaged, and crayons lived on the floor. We were free from rules. Everything was exciting and nothing was wrong.
At NUMI NUMI Design we draw inspiration from our childhoods. We never stop being curious because we love to ask questions and experiment. We are dedicated to exploring new ideas about the form and texture of children’s furniture. Our products encourage children and parents to enjoy unique use of shape, form, and transparency.
I am a first time mom and this is my first attempt at nursery design. I wanted a soothing place for my little girl and my family. I loved the yellow and grey pallet and found it feminine without being too girly.
We purchased our home almost four years ago and have been slowly renovating each room. We saved the third bedroom for last always knowing it would be the future nursery. Before we began, we had to remove the layers of wallpaper on both the walls and the ceiling! We wanted everything in the nursery to be able to be used once he is a toddler which included all furniture and the design.
Mark’s playful nursery
This nursery was an absolute work of love by my mom. She is a DIY queen and the result is a room that is completely DIY, hand-me-down or re-purposed. The only thing bought was the bookshelf.
