Charlotte Cecile’s Whimsical Lavender and Mint Nursery
My husband and I are having our first baby in October. We just moved into a new house, giving us a blank canvas on which to build the perfect nursery for our new baby girl, Charlotte Cecile.

First birthday was always to me very important, so I wanted to have a special party for my son.
We decided to have a Circus party at our beautiful veranda. The circus theme was a challenge because it was difficult to find party supplies.I ended up having fun crafting and doing lots of DIYs like the circus tent from ribbons, chalkboard, gumball machine, door wreath, hot dog stand, signs, banners and much much more! For favors we had pop corn cups filled with corn and circus animals minatures. For food, we served the guests popcorn, hot dogs & chips, chicken tortillas, mini burgers, candies, cupcakes, peanuts, lemonade and more! The food table was a big success!Last but not least the Circus cake which was a surprise for everyone!
Everybody had a great time and I’m really happy because me and my hasband spent a lot of time for this party .It was a big hit for our baby and big friends.
This was our first birthday present for our little one ,baby Demetris!

Joe’s 5th birthday
My mom and I created a carnival themed 1st birthday party for my son, Miles. We had 10 carnival games for the children (and adults!) to play, a local children’s magic show called Shizzle Dizzle performed, balloon sculptures and temporary tattoos were made and put on, a photo booth for pictures, and a Bounce House. All of our guests enjoyed carnival food (such as corn dogs) under our red and white striped carnival tent, as well as, pretzels, popcorn, cotton candy, and sno cones to snack on. We had a “Sweets and Treats” table and our guests were encouraged to fill one of the carnival boxes full of candy before they left. After playing the carnival games, the children were able to choose a prize from our prize table and also a carnival treat box. It was a beautiful day and our family and friends had a wonderful time celebrating our son’s 1st birthday together!
A fun, carnival-themed shower for a baby-to-be named Penny.
We wanted his first birthday to be so special and crafted by us, so we designed and glued and crafted till our hearts were content!
Nicholas turned 2 and the “circus” came to town. We had face-painters, balloon artists, games, circus candy, animal shaped PB&J, and of course cake and cookies. Nicky celebrated with all his friends! My amazing friend Tara from Life is Sweet Photo Boutique captured all the images: http://www.lifeissweetphoto.com/blog/2010/05/11/the-ringleader/
We are all about the projects that come along with baby. And baby’s first birthday is a big one! It’s about baby, friends, family and most importantly the parents! After all, we’re the one’s who survived the first year. So why not keep it intimate and keep it in your backyard. There’s nothing sweeter than a backyard birthday bash and here’s some some sweet birthday decor to inspire… Classy and Modern: Among the all Elmo, Sesame Street, and Barbie themes, there’s nothing better than two simple colors to theme your child’s party. Go Crazy, Go Carnival: Caterers set the theme with traditional carnival foods and carts. Keep it bright and festive without the scary clowns. Sweet and Lovely: Light and airy decor set the tone for this whimsical fairy theme. A friend once gave me a tip and suggested that I catered my son’s first party. She couldn’t have been more right. I love to cook but cooking and hosting a party with babies crawling and toddlers running around the house is hardly like one of your pre-baby cocktail soirees. So one piece of advice I would like to pass along to others is to order your party favors pre-packaged and in advance! I spent a silly amount of time and money putting together themed favors. I even ordered items that were not baby safe but looked so online. To avoid making the same mistake, visit our friends at Goody!Goody! for unique, hassle-free party favors on the go. Goody! Goody! currently offers 8 themes (from Hannah Montana to Thomas the Tank) and sells favors individually from $3.25 or boxed sets of 10. With advance notice owner Megan will even customize your favors to your party’s theme. Mention Project Nursery (Code: PN at check out) and receive free customized CD’s with your order! Now you’ll have more time to decide whether to serve cake or cupcakes!?!
We celebrated my sons 4th birthday with a colorful circus bash! We served fun carnival type food (hot dogs, freshly popped popcorn, mini hamburgers, cotton candy, marshmallow pops, popcorn cupcakes, and even had a candy bar), had loads of carnival games and even had a magic show!
