Lincoln’s Room

We decorated this room for our first little boy. Wanted it to be colorful and “kiddy” but still able to grow with him. Plus I tried to stay away from the easy baby boy blue. We started out with the pictures from hobby lobby and worked out from there. I’m still adding more stuff the more we get settled in and use his room more. Had alot of fun working on this room!
I wanted to create a modern nursery for our baby boy using turquoise, lime green, and brown for the colors. I chose crisp white furniture to contrast with these colors and with the deep hues of our hardwood floors.
This is a fairly simple nursery. I was hoping to avoid a lot of clutter on the walls and such. The initial idea was to paint stripes on all four walls, but my wife felt it was to much, so we decided on a mural for the big wall. When we looked on etsy.com and went with a monkey mural to match his bedding. The crib and dresser are Baby Cache’ from Babies R’ us. His little chairs are from Pottery Barn.
