I’ve been in LOVE with the color bar ledges from The Land of Nod for as long as I can remember. But at $30 a pop, the total price to create the whole rainbow was little steep. So I took matters (and lumber!) into my own hands and made this fabulous hack for a fraction of the cost!

Designed Jack’s nursery to be bright, modern, and fun! A room that is visually stimulating and warm.
The room is gray and white with warm yellow and bright aqua accents. We had no real theme beyond wanting a happy and comfortable space for our baby girl. At some point, the room took on a life of its own and it’s now filled with a variety of owls and daisies.
My husband is from the Caribbean so I wanted a beautiful ocean theme for our son. This room was previously an indoor greenhouse (hence all the windows) so the floor is slightly angled and has a tile floor. This was completely redone and I installed carpet and lots of elbow grease.
My husband and I are expecting our first child this November and couldn’t be more excited! After deciding we didn’t want to find out the sex of our baby, I had to think up something gender neutral for the nursery. I am in love with the end result!
A modern, baby boy’s lime green, gray, black, and white nursery!
A cottage meets vintage cozy space for our brand new daughter. Pale pinks and yellows collide with grey to create a space perfect for any little girl.
This is the nursery that I created for my son Emerson. Only a few items were purchased brand new; most were hand made by family and friends or refinished by me.
I wanted a non-themed but girly room that would age well as Gretchen grows up. I wanted to DIY what I could (art, linens, refinishing my childhood dresser) while also investing in quality pieces that will hold up for future children (crib, glider, bookshelves).
Leaves fluttering, books growing on trees and playful owls fill this outdoor themed nursery.
Who says gender-specific has to be boring? When we bring Baby home in the next week or two–boy or girl–this cozy retreat will provide a mini wonderland of sherbet-sweet color, nature-inspired fantasy, and meaningful touches in every corner.
