Our clients requested us to create a custom deco mobile inspired by the transportation theme. The mobile should complement the room color hues, the bedding and nursery decor, they prefer vibrant color palette, although to keep it clean and chic to complement their modern baby nursery.
I designed this nursery for sweet baby Quinn after her parents contacted me last summer for help creating the perfect space for their daughter. They were looking for something that would be fun and cool for a little girl, but not too “girly.” Using a screen printed My Morning Jacket concert poster as a starting point, we pulled together a fresh look that is almost as sweet as the baby girl who gets to sleep here!

I wanted to create a more modern, clean, and sensory-happy nursery for my boy/girl twins!
We wanted a happy, fun and playful room for our sweet boy to enjoy.
Small in size. Big on elephants. Bennett’s room is only 10 feet by 9 feet. We struggled to find furniture that would fit without sacrificing comfort. The walls are painted a soft robin’s egg blue. Accent colours are grey, slate, and white. The room features several different sizes, styles, and textures of elephants.
I spent a lot of time thinking about how I wanted to do our little man’s nursery. I was trying to steer clear of a “theme”. Instead, I played around with colors, while keeping the base color a modern gray. I’m thrilled with the results!

We had so much fun decorating the nursery for Bretton and are so happy with the result. It took about 7 months to get it all done but it was well worth the wait. There were a lot of DIY projects and those are really what makes the room even more special!

Nursery on a budget! I was laid off last October and knew we couldn’t spend much on the nursery. Searched this site, etsy, and pinterest for ideas that I could do myself to give the new little guy his own space. Not sure when I developed my love for owls but I heart them!! Tried to not go overboard but with friends and family contributing as well, there is no shortage of owls :)
We didn’t want a theme so that he could easily grow into his room. We love the mix of animals, airplanes, and art work.

This was another piece I made to match my daughter’s room, I love the color scheme of hot pink and tealy blue! I hand made this piece with tealy blue leaves, hot pink blooms, hot pink glittered limb and a tealy blue baby bird. It hangs by shear white ribbon.
I wanted to create a “birdie” themed room for Sadie using the CoCo Dot pottery barn kids bedding. We transformed this extra bedroom into a peaceful room with great pinks, bluish greens, and chocolate. The color of the walls make this room a unique little girl room!
We had a small square room to work with so we used lots of art work and put furniture on angles to make it more interesting.
We used an antique hoosier to store diapers, wipes, lotion etc. and then used the table part as a changing table. We couldn’t find a mobile that we liked so we handmade one. We used framed wrapping paper from his baby shower to use as art work.
We also have a banner on the crib that we made for the baby shower, which we only ended up using for these pictures and took it down once baby was born.
Although I am having a boy, I still wanted my nursery to be pretty. I spent a lot of time researching and collecting inspiration, like 8 months worth! This is the result.
