Baby Ellie’s Aqua and Coral Pink Baby Shower

Ellie’s shower was a mixture of colors pulled from her nursery. Aqua and coral pink. I took swatches from her baby quilt and hung them on lace for a frilly girl pennant banner. The cupcakes are mini strawberry cupcakes frosted in aqua for a whimsical feel. I used pinks and white tissue paper to make pom poms hung in the center of my living room for a girly touch. The chalk board is a thrift-ed mirror turned chalk board with a little girl phrase perfect for the baby shower.

Look Whooo’s Having a Girl

It’s a girl! Dawn and Brian’s family hosted a baby shower for all of their Massachusetts family and friends and wanted Sugar & Bow’s assistance for the party planning. We thought long and hard (about 30 seconds) and came up with an Owl and Chevron theme that we thought fit the parents-to-be perfectly. All of the guests were asked to bring along an unwrapped onesie to hang on the clothesline. At the end of the night Dawn and Brian picked their favorite onesie and the winner received a wine themed S&B basket. This amazing basket included a bottle of wine, Rosemary Wine Crackers, Cheese Straws, a heart shaped cutting board, two wine glasses, and a package of gold napkins. The dessert buffet included mini chocolate chip cupcakes with buttercream frosting and topped of with chocolate shavings, mini apple cider cake donuts, and an chocolate chip cake. At the end of the night each guest was asked to take a small purple chevron bag with an elephant (the theme of the nursery) sugar cookie.

Vintage girl baby shower in pink and yellow

Girl Baby shower in yellow and pink colors. The mom loved vintage pieces, so we decorated little antique white urns, rustic birdcages and lanterns with garden inspired flowers. For the cake we wanted to go more elegant and modern than you typical baby shower cake so we modified a bridal cake and topped it with cute Chanel baby shoes with a bit of sparkle.  We also added little details like mini cupcakes, a wishing tree, mini lemonades, candy jars……all in the color scheme pink and yellow.  For the background we created a painting using stencils with birdcages, trees and bird patterns.
