After years of creating nursery artwork and designing spaces for others, I finally had my own nursery to create. I chose a pink, gray and yellow color scheme and created a sweet, calming space with graphic touches that will work for my baby girl for many years to come.

Congratulations on your new baby girl. Her room is adorable. I used the same IKEA grey fabric in my kids room…love it!

This room is adorable…can I ask where the wall paper is from?
Shelia Butler
Great room and great name — Hadley Jean, too cute! Is the wall behind the bed painted or papered? Thanks for sharing.

Where did you get the curtain rod you used inside the closet?
Kimberly
Lauren, The curtain rod inside the closet is actually a shower curtain rod from Target – less than $15!

jude,
I actually made a template, traced it onto the wall and hand painted it myself. It was much easier than it looks!
Kimberly
Shelia Butler,
Its painted, I made a template, traced it and painted the darker color over the top of the light gray.

I love this room, its so beautiful. I made a similar book case for my son’s room, and its by far one of my favorite things.

Love the nursery!!!! What company made the wall paint and what colors did you use?
Brenna Smith
I wanted to know your thoughts on whether or not this color scheme/idea would work with a dark crib? We’re planning to use our son’s crib, which is a cherry wood color. I love the idea but would hate to not be able to pull it off because of the color of the crib. Also, I noticed you had an etsy seller sew your crib bedding…how does this work?
Jen
This is WONDERFUL. I also love that it’s pretty gender neutral [the main things] but you could frill it up or add boy stuff! I actually bought this same stencil from an artist in GA so I will be using it in our nursery! Thanks for the inspiration. Did you have to get your glider recovered? If so, how much was it to recover?
Kimberly
Jen,
sorry I just saw all the comments on my posting. No, it was actually brand new with tags on CL, I know to recover a chair is pretty pricey and sometimes not worth it. I love the stencil, it is still one of my favorite things everytime I walk in the room!
