There Ain’t No Mountain High Enough DIY Blanket

Hello, my name is Kristin, and I’m addicted to my Cricut. Now, I want to be 100% honest…I am not a DIY person. Six months ago, the thought of creating anything sent my anxiety into a tailspin. But now that I have been introduced to the world of the Cricut, I have the confidence to take on (almost) any DIY project! That is why I am over-the-moon excited to share our “There Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” DIY blanket created by yours truly (proud mom moment).

Not only does this blanket fall into the ever-so popular woodland theme that we constantly see popping up in our gallery, it’s also pretty adorable if I do say so myself. If you aren’t a black-and-white fan, you can customize the color scheme to fit your nursery design and your own personal style. Ready to get started? With a few easy steps, you’ll be a able to create a blanket you’ll be proud off.

The Cricut works like a printer, but instead of printing, it’s cutting out your shapes with a built-in blade. I always find the cutting process mesmerizing.

Carefully remove all the excess iron-on material using your Cricut weeding tool to reveal your design!

Next, lay the iron-on shapes onto the blanket, lining side up. Be sure to lay them out exactly how you want the final design to look.

Follow the iron-on instructions that are found on the roll of material. Place a light towel or pressing cloth between the iron and the iron-on when ironing. Once cooled, remove the plastic lining from the iron-ons.
