It Doesn’t Get Any Cuter Than This

Welcome to our series spotlighting our Featured Vendors from our Vendor Guide. The guide includes carefully curated vendors from the baby and children’s industry in design, retail, special services and much more.

We recently caught up with Suzi Eszterhas, the talented wildlife photographer behind the adorable Baby Animal Prints by Suzi. This dreamy collection of photographs includes moments she has witnessed on her adventures in the wild and captures the special bond between baby animals and their parents. These prints would be such a fun addition to any little one’s space, and they’re certainly something that will grow with baby beyond the nursery.

What about Baby Animal Prints by Suzi makes you most proud?
When I think about the young children who have my work on the walls of their nurseries, I feel proud that I am helping to expose them to wildlife at a young, formative age. There might be some way in which my photographs are influencing children to care about animals as they grow up or to be interested in wildlife and nature, and that makes me very happy. I also feel passionate about connecting kids with nature and showing them how beautiful animals are is just one of the ways to do that.

Do you have a signature product or design element?
The Safari Baby Animals Set is my signature product. It’s unique because the photos depict babies interacting with their parents. It is versatile in that customers can choose from a variety of color tones. We offer the set in black and white, color and sepia. Some people prefer black and white, some people like the vivid color and others like the vintage look of sepia. It’s a really playful and fun set—there is the cheetah pouncing on mama’s head, the lion cub meeting his dad for the first time, the mom and baby giraffe touching noses and the playful elephant being pushed along with moms trunk.

What is your biggest piece of advice for new parents?
It’s so important to connect your kids to nature, starting at a young age. This can mean having beautiful images on your walls, reading books about animals and most importantly, taking your children outside so that they can be in the fresh air. There have been studies that have shown that stress and blood pressure can be greatly reduced when people are taken out into the forest—I think the same goes for kids. Make sure your children have enough time to play outside. For toddlers, this is even more important than all of the electronic devices at their disposal. Make sure you unplug them for certain times of the day and get them outside so that they can explore the world around them.

Where do you find your inspiration?
My inspiration comes from my absolute passion and love for animals—I’ve been that way ever since I was a kid. This passion drives me on my future projects when I decide which animal I want to work with. It’s really about the animals I have loved and dreamed of seeing since I was a kid. Also, every single day in the field with animals is different—I never know what to expect. Wild animals are totally unpredictable, so it really beats sitting at a desk in the office. The change and adventure of what I do is really inspiring.

Tell us your motto.
Follow your dreams. Life is immensely rewarding when you love what you do every day. We should teach our children to follow their dreams so that they love life and have something to be excited about when they wake up every morning.
