Am not really sure that a “warm” room is good for a baby, still I love the whimsy decorations you used here. Just wondering what was your budget for this???

Well, we tend to like warm colors, so this all goes well with our house. And I really wanted to play off the red in the toybox. In any case, nearly everything that’s not furniture was stuff we had picked up over the years at antique stores for $20 or less each item. The furniture we bought new, so that was the chunk of expense at about $700-$800 for everything. And I’m thinking for some people, that would be considered cheap! Bedding was inexpensive from Target as it was the only thing I found that I liked. The wall shade was a simple cellular shade from JC Penney. Everything else was either a gift or picked up for cheap…like those $4 IKEA mirrors! Even the sundrop light-up sign was purchased for $10 at a Habitat re-sale store.

Thanks! I painted it before I knew what I was having. I just knew I wanted a yellow room. I would have done more girly stuff, but used the same pallette for a girl. The glider is the danielle deluxe sleigh glider from target.com. Had it six months now and still love it.
