Introducing rockaRoo by 4moms

It’s no secret that parents love the soothing movements the mamaRoo provides for their babies, so Project Nursery was quick to jump on the lunch invitation to meet the latest innovative product from 4moms. With consistently high-tech yet super-user-friendly products like their spout cover and origami stroller, we knew this was going to be good!

So after our gracious hosts were sure we got our fill of the best potato gnocchi I’ve ever tried, the rockaRoo was unveiled!

The first thing I noticed is the rockaRoo looks very similar in design to the mamaRoo, leading to my first question—what makes it different? The mamaRoo was designed to emulate unique movements, including everything from a parent comforting his/her child to a car ride. Though many children responded well to these motions, there was still a customer base asking for the traditional standing swing motion. 4Moms creators, Rob Daley and Henry Thorne, did what they do best and thought about how they could maximize the user experience for this request.

Not only does the rockaRoo exceed aesthetic design standards, the pivot points allow for more motion at the baby’s head, where it counts. The motion is what you would see on a rocking horse, with the sense of security that a standing swing provides. Let’s not overlook the five swing speeds and MP3 plugin. Did we mention that it can be set up in under a minute? This was demonstrated right in front of us—a definite perk for busy parents.

We’re excited to get feedback from real moms—we think this is going to be a hit!

Another state-of-the-art product. I just hope this is a real solution for fussy babies.

Is this thing really effective at calming and soothing babies? I’d be damned if I got this expensive contraption and still have my baby crying most of the time.
