I wanted a room that inspired creativity and was also comfortable and happy.  As we live in a two bedroom in Brooklyn, I wanted a room that could also serve as a guest room when we had guests and could accomodate another child if we are lucky enough to have another.  So it had to be gender neutral.  I wanted it to be a space a child could grow into, so not too “baby”.
