We love a nursery that mixes vintage pieces, unique accents and modern pieces with ease. This gender neutral nursery designed by Chloe Marie Interiors has effortlessly layered texture and pattern for a lovely lived-in look that is so on trend right now.
You can follow along with Canadian-based designer Chloe Marie on her website and her instagram account to see more of her design work. For now, we get to go on a tour of her very own sweet nursery filled with vintage charm. Thank you for sharing with us, Chloe!
I’ve named this project the The Neutral Nursery, and it happens to be my own! The gender was a surprise, so we kept things pretty clean and simple with some pops of color and wallpaper on the ceiling, which is rarely done these days.
I’ve been in love with Cole and Son’s Nuvolette wallpaper since I discovered it a few years ago, and I knew that if I ever had a baby that it would be in the nursery. It’s a pattern that can be used anywhere—I’ve seen it in hallways, powder rooms, stairways, etc. It’s a timeless classic that I knew would stand the test of time.
The big fluffy chair in a reading nook with our puppy Oakley looking over us was a must.
A few other pieces stand out—the fabric mobile was purchased on our honeymoon in Rwanda, Africa. At the time, I wasn’t sure if kids were for me, but I purchased the piece anyway thinking if I ever did have kids, this would be a special reminder of our time there.
