We love when we get to revisit families, and today we are rejoining Beth Aschenbach’s family to tour their baby girl Edie’s pink palm nursery! Last time we checked in with Beth it was for daughter Grace’s swan nursery. You’ll see that Beth used the same nursery space for both girls, reusing the curtains, glider, dresser and paint color, but both nurseries have their very own personality. You have to see how she updated the glider to look like a whole new piece! This nursery has a boho vibe with a little extra glam thrown in.

Where did you pull inspiration for your nursery design?
I saw a photo of a similar wallpaper that I wanted to have someone paint as the focal point of the nursery. I love the tropical scene of palm trees and the pink and white are such peaceful colors. Eric Kadyszewski of EEK Art hand-painted it for us. The main furniture item I started with was the crib because I loved the cane detail.
What part of the design process did you enjoy the most?
I love dreaming up the theme of the room. I love looking in magazines, on Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration. I also loved seeing the cute and unique items that my friends from Luxe Report Designs found to style the dresser and room.
What is your favorite part or detail in your nursery?
I love the chair because you spend so many hours nursing, rocking and reading in it. I used that chair with my first daughter, and I added trim to it for my second.
What is one thing that you would tell other parents to consider when starting their own nursery design project?
Make sure you really love the design and décor of the room because you spend a lot of time in there. For both of my daughters’ nurseries, I wanted them to be soft and serene and this was the perfect pink for that.
