Pretty in Pink Nature-Inspired Nursery

Design reveals, like this pink nature-inspired nursery, are definitely one of the best parts of my job. It’s so fun to guide my client through the whole design process, see it come together in person, photograph it, and share it with you all! In this latest nursery design, my clients wanted their daughter’s new space to be light and bright with lots of feminine accents. They wanted to reuse some of the nursery furniture they already had for her (like the crib) and change up the dresser and all the other accents.

The design started with a stunning pink forest wall mural. The crib wall was very high, around 12′, so I wanted to balance that height with a lower wall mural to make the room feel a bit more cozy. This room also got a lot of natural light, so we added custom made blackout roman shades and blush curtains.

The layout of this room was tricky because there are a lot of windows and doors with very little wall space for furniture. The room had a built-in shelving niche, so I suggested putting the changing table underneath it. To maximize the impact of the high ceiling, we added an amazing gold statement chandelier.

To make the glider corner really cozy and functional, we went with a gold side table, fun llama planter (to bring in some plant life), and a custom initial letter blanket. We also switched out the knobs on the dresser for some in gold and lucite to pull the design together.

After all the main pieces were chosen, I then needed to find all the little decor and accessory pieces to fill out the space. I went for items in blush and gold, and added a few plants for greenery and stuffed animals for texture.
