Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet Footprint Keepsake (with free printable!)

Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat! As you know, it’s that time again when little kids are gearing up for one of the best nights of the year! Halloween—where free candy is behind every door! My kids love Halloween, and I love seeing them dressed in adorable little costumes. But time goes by so fast, and one moment they’re dressed up as a little shrimp to your Bubba Gump costume and the next, they’re ten years old refusing to partake in any family costume (sigh). If you’re like me, and you want to cherish the memories of their first Halloweens, I created an easy printable keepsake for you.

To create this keepsake, print out the Halloween Keepsake file. Choose non-toxic paint in colors of your choice—I used candy corn colors, but you could also use green and black to create little Frankensteins, witches or ghouls! Have fun with it!

Brush the paint onto your little one’s feet in the design you want and help them gently press each foot on your printed paper under the lettering. I put a garbage bag down under my toddler when painting his feet to keep the mess contained. You will want to have some baby wipes or a wet wash cloth handy for quick clean up once they’ve stamped their footprints!

Once the prints are dry, punch holes in the top corners of the paper and string ribbon through. Tie the ribbon and now you’re ready to hang your print. Just look at those cute little feet! I think each set of grandparents will be getting one of their own as well—good thing my little guy loves to make footprints! Happy Halloween!
