Here’s the Secret to Creating the Perfect Nursery

You know how they say that hindsight is 20/20? Well, my daughter is ready for a major bedroom overhaul, and the so-called perfect crib that I chose for her many moons ago is about to be kicked to the curb. Why, you ask? Because in all my excitement to design the perfect nursery, I failed to pick a convertible crib. So now, on the brink of shelling out more money to create an age-appropriate sleeping situation for her (oh, and did I mention that she’s five years old?), I’m left wishing that I had the foresight to choose a more versatile crib.

So mamas-to-be, I’m sharing this bit of (slightly embarrassing) information with you so that you can learn from my mistake. There are some absolutely gorgeous options out there for convertible cribs, and today we want to introduce you to one of our favorite furniture makers, évolur.

The inspiration behind évolur is a concept that every parent will love—the company’s mission is to make products that will stand the test of time. Here’s how a 5-in-1 évolur crib will grow with your child, all the way from the day you bring baby home from the hospital through adulthood. The crib starts with three adjustable mattress heights, ensuring that your precious newborn is within reach, yet she will remain safe as she grows and becomes more mobile. When your little one is ready to transition out of the crib, you can swap out the front side for a toddler guard rail (sold separately). And when she outgrows the toddler bed, a conversion kit (also sold separately) will allow you to make it into a full-size bed, with or without a footboard.

Obviously we love the versatility of évolur’s cribs—and their matching collection of case pieces!—but what’s even better is that, simply put, they’re stunning. From vintage, to traditional, to modern, there is a design to coordinate with any style. Many of the collections are even made to mix-and-match, giving you the freedom to get really creative when you’re designing your nursery.

évolur is a member of the DOM Family, a designer, manufacturer and supplier of baby products. This family-owned and operated company prides itself on creating products that moms love and families trust. Their goal is to provide their customers with a wider range of options to meet the unique needs of each individual family, all while ensuring that their products are easy to assemble and made from quality materials. To find out more about these two exceptional companies, please visit DOM Family and évolur.

évolur is becoming a fav of celebrities (even being included on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Mother’s Day episode). You can see some of the évolur celebrity nurseries we’ve featured: Deanna Pappas’ nursery, Christine Lakin’s nursery, Jenn Brown and Wes Chatham’s nursery, and Renee Herlocker’s Nursery.
