Our Round Crib Roundup

You’ve heard it said that it’s “hip to be square,” but sometimes we’re bigger fans of the rounder things in life. Lollipops, wine goblets, juicy oranges, squishy new babies and…the round cribs they sleep in! Personally, we love the soft lines of the Stokke Sleepi Crib, and we’ve rounded up some of our favorite nurseries that feature this beauty as the focal point.

You won’t always be able to control the colors of the toys, books and craft supplies that find their way into our child’s room. So how do you make sure everything always feels as bright and clean as you intended? Lay a foundation with beautiful mainstay furniture pieces like this sturdy birch stool, high-design rounded crib, clean frames, graphic art and a shelving piece ready to do work!

An interesting crib can flow seamlessly through every stage of baby’s room. A sweet and dreamy wonderland for newborn sleep can transform into a fun spot for well-deserved toddler rest. Surrounded by neutral toys and layers of textures and patterns, this space is ready to help baby’s imagination soar!

We can’t help but take a deep breath when staring into this space. It’s open, airy, light and bright, but it’s still got more personality than a zoo on Saturday! The white pieces take a backseat to the star of the show—the Stokke Sleepi crib, featured in a contrasting and warm wood color, which adds a welcome tonal balance to the nursery.

We are ready to trade in our master suites for these vaulted, paneled ceilings! The dark accent wall creates the ultimate backdrop for carefully selected nursery decor. Plus, the straight lines in the walls and ceiling play off the wide-planked floors, making the rounded Stokke Sleepi crib bed the rising star in this space.

Rich tones in wall color, furniture and floors always create a memorable and moody space. There’s lots to love in this charcoal and wood-accented baby room. Find a wood tone that makes you swoon (Stokke offers three options for the Sleepi) and have fun incorporating the natural color in shelving, dresser hardware, toys and more. We promise it’ll provide the perfect pop of contrast in any deep and soothing space.

Nurseries are the perfect playground for layering interesting textures, creating a soft and soothing spot for baby. Looking to tie those varying elements a bit better? Consider incorporating repeated colors and textures in a gallery wall to frame out your little one’s crib in a cohesive way.

Expecting double the love? A crib with curved edges plays with your eye, producing the effect of a larger room. The oval shape takes up less space, and trust us, with two of everything, you’ll need every free square inch you can get. It takes two, baby! And whether or not you plan on placing two cribs in one room, we just love the idea of floating the crib in the room.

    Hi Tiffany,

When I was looking at the Stokke Accessories, they show one blanket that is just rectangular shape and the sheet is oval shaped.

  3. avatar Tiffany says:

I have an oval crib and ready to make it a daybed. Do you know if the blankets are oval or just tucked in at the bottom? I have very been searching everywhere !

  10. avatar Rachel says:

Stokke is one of many oval cribs out there, by far one of the most versatile! From bassinet to crib to toddler to junior bed to chairs ! Yes chairs ! Is one of the many reasons we love Stokke ! Plus it’s the only one that has wheels. FUN :) We got our bedding from Lublini.com they have the best selection for Stokke & oval cribs.

I love the second one, with the gray/cream chevron stripe laundry bag. The soft muted colors can easily transform from a boys room to a girls room just by adding a little pink to the color scheme. It isn’t necessary to repaint for future children, just add small amounts of different colors for each and the room will look completely different.
