Sometimes it’s fun to spend hours pulling together a fancy party. But that doesn’t mean every detail has to be abundantly time-consuming. Catch this tutorial on how to dress up the treats for any occasion with quick and easy DIY cupcake toppers.
Materials: washi tape, 1/8″ dowel, scissors
Use your scissors to cut the dowel into segments that are 4.5″ long.
Not only are these toppers super duper easy, but they can also be customized to any party theme under the sun. Pull together a handful of coordinating washi tape rolls that fit the feeling of your celebration.
Roll out the tape and place the top of one dowel about 1.5″ from the end.
Fold the washi tape over the dowel and back onto itself and cut.
Repeat with another piece of washi tape below the first.
To add visual interest, use your scissors to cut the ends at a diagonal.
Make one for each cupcake!
Pop those DIY cupcake toppers into your treats and you’ve got an instant party! Quick and easy.
