What about Ubbi makes you most proud?
What makes me most proud is that we design everything from scratch and develop it into a practical and easy-to-use product that’s fitted for today’s stylish and modern parents. We make sure that we study the market well, we look at what parents really need to make their lives easier and simpler, and we make our products accordingly while also making sure that we keep a clean and contemporary look. Lots of products nowadays are taken directly off the shelves in China and branded with a company logo. At Ubbi, we don’t do that. We go through years of research and development to come up with the best products, and when our products are available for purchase, we make sure we fully stand behind them by offering the best possible customer service.
What can we expect from you this year?
This year we are excited to expand into the bath category. With the same innovative approach we’ve used with all of our products so far, we’re making bath time better and easier for both parents and children. To make it better for mom and dad, we’ve solved the mold issue that every single parent is well aware of by making all of our bath products completely dishwasher-safe. And that makes it better for children because they can play with clean, mold-free toys. This summer, we will be making a splash with our new bath collection, and so far it’s comprised of two bath storage products and two bath toys—once again, they’re simple, cute and practical, meeting parent’s high standards for functionality and modern design.
What advice do you have for parents when curating their nurseries? Any nursery must-haves?
My biggest advice for parents is not to get overwhelmed with the zillions of products out there and simply stick with just a few brands. There are a handful on the market that make good, long-lasting and award-winning products, so I would stick with those. Parents should also keep in mind that less is more, and they shouldn’t get overwhelmed with useless products that will only be used for a few weeks. I’d also recommend that new parents get advice from second-time parents because now that they’re experienced, they know so much more than they did the first time around.
