Who can resist woodland friends wearing party hats in the forest? Certainly not us! We had so much fun exploring the great outdoors with our new, whimsical Woodland Bear party collection. We’re excited to share how we styled this celebration along with ideas to inspire your own bear-iffic party!
We instantly fell in love with this adorable invitation! The invite set the stage for the party’s mint, orange navy and brown color palette that adorns everything from the pom pom yarn garland and giant balloons to the sweetest bear head cake. Just perfect for your little adventurer!
For all you mama bears out there, we know planning a party for your little boy cubs can be a challenge. There are so many adorable girl parties, but the selection for boys always seems to turn up construction equipment and sports (which can be fun, don’t get us wrong). With this sweet new woodland bear party collection, we’re here to show you that there is hope for cuteness!
We made this darling tent backdrop to give the party a woodsy, outdoor feel. We planked a 4′ x 4′ piece of wood with 8″ pine slats and stained them. Next, we drilled 1′ dowels into the center of the top and each side of the planked backdrop. Then, we folded (and ironed) 3 yards of tan twill fabric to 1′ lengthwise and draped it over the dowels to look like a little tent. We drilled 2″ x 4″ legs (sized to height of table) into the back as stilts for the backdrop and leaned it up against our dessert table. Flanked by a big round balloon and yarn tassle garland, this party table is sure to be the hit of your woodland adventure!
Well hello there, friendly bear. Isn’t he the cutest? All dressed up in his proper party attire, complete with a mini party hat and bow tie. He’s almost too darling to eat.
A party REALLY isn’t a party without balloons. So why not kick things up a notch and have them on your cookies too? You can make these balloon sugar cookies in any color combination. Simply dab some icing on the back of the cookie to attach the ribbon. We added the birthday boy’s age for extra personalization.
Party activities are a must, and there’s no shortage of ideas for this Woodland Bear theme. Depending on their ages, little cubs will have fun going on a nature scavenger hunt, roasting s’mores (real or pretend), having a backyard camp out, enjoying an outdoor movie night or making nature-inspired crafts.
