On Our Bookshelf, Currently

My kids (three-year-old Emmi and one-year-old Everett) absolutely love going to the library—it’s one of those words that I have to spell out when I’m making plans because if they hear it and then we don’t end up going that day, they will go bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. We love discovering new books, and more often than not, my daughter will find a book that she’s so crazy about that we borrow it on repeat until I finally give in and buy a copy to add to our growing collection. If you’re looking for children’s book recommendations for your own avid little readers, here are a few of our current favorites.

Hahaha, that’s when you know you’ve found a keeper! We just added Room on the Broom to our collection the past Halloween (how did I wait almost four years to buy it???), and I’m definitely going to check out the others. Thanks Meghan!

A recommendation that we enjoyed was Basil Hazel Forest. It was a splendid read and works for a variety of ages. Great to read aloud.
