Brooklyn Decker Aces Bump Style

From gracing the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in gorgeous, teeny tiny bikinis to strutting her stuff on the red carpet in oversized ensembles, Brooklyn Decker appears to look good in anything and everything. She wore little or no true maternity clothing during her pregnancy, but her use of bump accommodating ready-to-wear was a grand slam—I just couldn’t resist the tennis pun!

One of my favorite looks during Brooklyn’s nine months in preggersville was this black and white, off-the-shoulder combo. Showing the collarbone during pregnancy is always a smart move—it’s the one body part that doesn’t swell! If shorts aren’t your thing, then switch them out for a flirty skirt that still covers the rear. And if a strapless bra isn’t in the cards (hello, second or third time mamas!), then choose a bra-friendly top that features a lower neckline.

Recreate Brooklyn’s look with this black and white off-the-shoulder peasant top (that can also be worn on the shoulder to cover bra straps) and a black and white elastic waist skirt, or keep it simple with a black miniskirt. Don’t forget to accessorize! A choker keeps the look clean and simple.

A head-to-toe monochromatic look is a great way to lengthen the body while you’re sporting a bump. I love that Brooklyn was not afraid to show a little leg during pregnancy. It’s important to highlight your best feature, especially when you’re growing a human.

This look can be achieved with a solid blue dress or by pairing a blue top with a matching skirt. Accessorize with coordinating blue pumps (in a manageable heel height, of course) and a casual denim jacket.

Vertical stripes are a mommy-to-be’s best friend. They give the illusion of added height and help streamline the silhouette.

Mirror Brooklyn’s look with a maxi dress, or mix it up with a shorter version paired with tights for cooler temps. Keep your shoes in the same colorway, or go nude to continue lengthening the body.

Even Brooklyn doesn’t walk a red carpet every day, but she keeps it cute and casual on her “days off.”
