Welcome to our series spotlighting our Featured Vendors from our Vendor Guide. The guide includes carefully curated vendors from the baby and children’s industry in design, retail, special services and much more.
We caught up with Orbit Baby to chat about all the latest happenings and how they make parents’ lives easier every day. We can all agree that being a parent comes with enough challenges, and anything that makes our days a little simpler is very much welcomed. Orbit Baby’s 360 degree seat rotation design not only makes it easier to get baby in and out of the car seat, but it also allows baby to see all around when he’s on-the-go in the stroller—we think that’s a win-win!
What about Orbit Baby makes you most proud?
Because many of us are parents, aunts and uncles, we know how overwhelming it can be when a new baby comes home. We’re most proud of the calls, emails and social media posts from parents who own our products that tell us how we’ve made their everyday lives easier. It feels great to hear that all our hard work helps to make a real difference for families.
Do you have a signature product or design element?
The first thing people talk about when they’re describing Orbit Baby is our 360 degree seat rotation, which is made possible by our patented SmartHub™. Our seat rotation is found on both our car seats and our strollers. People love the rotation because it makes getting children in and out of the car so much easier—you simply “Dock. Click. Rotate.” Dock the car seat on the base. Click it into place once to make sure it is secure. Then rotate it to the rear-facing position for the Infant Car Seat or forward-facing for the Toddler Car Seat, and you’re good to go.
What can we expect from you this year?
We’re launching O2, our three-wheeled, hybrid stroller this fall. We think parents will be excited about O2 because it’s so versatile. It has two seating modes—a high position for everyday strolling and a low position that streamlines the stroller for the ultimate jogging performance. It’s also one of the only jogging strollers available with an option for the seat to face the parent so you can see baby while jogging, or you can rotate the seat to have baby facing forward. The O2 also allows you to lock the front wheel for performance jogging on a straightaway or unlock the front wheel for easy maneuvering around turns during a run or a walk. In addition to O2, we also have a special surprise in store for Orbit Baby fans coming this fall. We’re keeping that one under wraps for now though.
What do you think people might not know about Orbit Baby that you’d like to share?
Our consumers are at the center of all that we do. We build our products to move with you and your family, whether you’re loading baby in and out of the car, transitioning through your day from the car to the stroller, evolving through the stages of infancy to toddlerhood or even adding more children to your family.
What is your biggest piece of advice for new parents?
There’s no denying that life with baby is challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. It’s amazing how fast time passes once baby arrives, so having a tool kit of products that make your life easier as a parent will save you time and energy so you can focus on the important stuff.
Where do you find your inspiration?
We’re inspired by our fans—seeing them out and about with their families and hearing them talking about the ways our products simplify their lives inspires us every day.
Tell us your motto.
From car to strolling, from one baby to three kids, from parent-facing to forward-facing and all 360 degrees in between, we move with you.
The next time you’re in the market for a new car seat or stroller, check out Orbit Baby to test out their 360 degree seat rotation and see how it can make your day a little more convenient and your baby a little bit happier.
