Materials: Valentine’s Day free printable (Tall Printable Valentine’s Keepsake or Wide Printable Valentine’s Keepsake), 4″ x 6″ photo, glue dots or glue, non-toxic ink pad

Choose the Valentine’s Day printable that is the same orientation as your photo, and print it out. I printed mine on letter size, semi-gloss photo paper I picked up at our local office supply store. You could also have it printed as an 8″ x 10″ at a photo kiosk.

Center your photo in the outlined photo frame, and glue it down. I prefer glue dots over glue to eliminate drying time and ensure that the photo won’t warp from being damp. Then grab your little one, press his or her thumb on the ink pad of your choice and create a thumbprint after each X on the printable to create the O’s in the XOXO.

It’s really just that simple! The kids will be so proud of their masterpieces, and you’ll still have lots of time to enjoy a nice heart-shaped box of chocolates with your littles. A few years from now, you’ll love to look back at your keepsake and marvel at how small they once were.
