Giveaway: Swaddles from The Ollie World

Learning how to swaddle is one of the quintessential rites of passage for new parents. I remember the first time I tried to swaddle a baby. My husband and I were blissful newlyweds without any plans to start our own family yet, and we were babysitting for our friends’ kids—a three-year-old and a newborn. My friend told me very matter-of-factly to swaddle the baby if she started to fuss, gave me a quick tutorial and then they left. I don’t know if I didn’t pay attention well enough or if swaddling is a skill that only parents possess, but let’s just say the baby cried that night. A lot.

I very quickly mastered the art of swaddling when my daughter was born, and I finally understood the soothing magic of a well-wrapped baby. Whether you’re a swaddling newbie or a seasoned parent, the swaddles from The Ollie World are a game-changer. This week two Project Nursery readers will each win two swaddles of your choice from The Ollie World (a $96 value each).

The Ollie Swaddle

The Ollie Swaddle was created with an infant named Oliver in mind. He was a foster baby that struggled to eat and sleep, making it difficult for foster parents to care for him. When other swaddles failed to meet his needs—they either didn’t hold him correctly, weren’t strong enough to apply a comforting pressure or left his legs unwrapped—the concept for a new swaddle was born.

The Ollie Swaddle

The Ollie Swaddle is designed to soothe fussy babies and improve both the quality and duration of their sleep. The elasticity of the fabric allows baby to move while remaining wrapped snugly, it is moisture-wicking to help keep baby cool, and the velcro closure makes it easy to use, even in your most sleep-deprived state. The Ollie Swaddle even features an opening at the bottom so you don’t have to unwrap baby for diaper changes!
