What kind of a party do you throw for a boy who loves exploring over pushing cars, digging in mud over building with Legos? Well, you go back to the quintessential boy adventurers for inspiration, of course, Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Jenny Keller, of Jenny Cookies, threw an amazing birthday party for her six-year-old son, Hudson, celebrating his love for the outdoors and adventure. What better setting for their Adventures of Hudson birthday party than their five acre farm!
Kids spent their time aiming their slingshots into the swamp and going on nature scavenger huts.
They also got the chance to paint their very own wooden snake.
The food was presented in a charming rustic style. Partygoers ate a yummy dinner from the baked potato bar and beautifully presented desserts (how cute are those “acorn” doughnuts?).
The kids made sure to take a pit stop at the “bait shop” for some sweets.
They also got their own copy of Huck Finn (a lucky find at Target’s dollar spot!).
The party details are impeccable yet still feel totally accessible and fun. We are sure Hudson had a blast.
More details are available on Jenny’s blog.
