Mom, It’s Booster Seat Time! + Britax Giveaway

The Ginocchio family hit another milestone. Our youngest, four-and-a-half-year-old Sloane, delivered a message clear and proud, “Mom, I’m too big for my car seat. I want a big girl booster!” I couldn’t really argue with her. After all, she was growing fast, and it was getting more and more difficult to get her car seat buckles clicked.

I realized in that moment that she had transformed from my sweet baby girl into an active and energetic big kid. Was my initial resistance to abandon her trusty car seat actually my way of trying to slow down time?

Naturally, safety was my first concern. We’d always trusted Britax when it came to car seats, so it made sense to check what boosters they offered for her age and weight. I’d actually viewed their newest models in person at the ABC Kids Expo. It was there that I spotted a full back, 5 point harness booster seat with side impact protection with big pink flowers running down the center of the seat. I knew this model would get the Sloane seal of approval. She was also plenty big enough since the minimum requirement was only two years and 25 lbs, and the features of this seat would easily take us all the way through her car seat days.

One feature I was looking for, in particular, was ease of installation. Between carpooling and the car wash, I often needed to get the seat in and out of the car. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve jammed a knuckle or broken a fingernail trying to install those pesky lower latch connectors in my old car seat. The whole ordeal would leave me a sweaty (and injured) mess! So, what really sold me on the Britax Pinnacle 90 booster seat was their new Click Tight installation technology. You just pop up the lower section of the seat back and pull the seat belt through and buckle. Click the seat closed, and that’s it, you’re done. No lower latch connectors needed, and when I say it’s in rock solid, I mean it!

There were other notable bells and whistles as well, like an integrated steel bar for crash protection and two cup holders. Sloane definitely felt like a big kid in this seat. She’s happy, mom’s happy. Milestone navigated! Thank you, Britax.

I really could use this. Especially with a new baby the funds for a new one for my older daughter aren't there right now.

Would love to win this seat for my 3 year old daughter she has a graco nautilus 3 in 1 that I got cheap off craigslist used while back and it will be expiring in December but I would have wait till tax time to get a new seat so keeping my fingers crossed to win this for her I love that it goes harnessed to 90 pounds and how easy it looks to strap into a vehicle
