We’d like to introduce you to the adorable Happy Wish Company! They are an online party shop with everything you’ll need to create a cute and stylish party for your little one. Spring has definitely sprung, and we’re loving the warm sunshine, clear blue skies and, of course, all the gorgeous, blooming flowers! At Happy Wish Company, we’re always on the lookout for party-styling inspiration, and nature is one of our go-to sources. To celebrate this fresh, new season, we’re sharing a simple, DIY tutorial for making adorable tissue paper flowers.

How to Make Tissue Paper Flowers - Project Nursery

Materials: 12 sheets of 13×20 tissue paper (per flower) cut with scalloped edges, floral wire and fabric or paper leaves.

Stack the twelve sheets of tissue paper together and fold the paper accordion-style, placing the fold at the valley of each scallop. Crease with each fold. (If you use traditional tissue  paper, you can create a scallop by cutting a rounded edge after folding.)

Gather folded tissue paper. Fold floral wire in half and slip wire over center of folded tissues; twist tightly.

Separate and fluff each layer of tissue paper, pulling to the center of one side only. (It should have a flat back.) Leave a small pocket of space in the middle as the center of each flower.

Group tissue paper flowers together in an arrangement, and add leaves for an instant bloom of happiness!

We used these tissue paper flowers on the fabric backdrop for the new “Floral Fox” party collection we just added to our shop. If you’re looking for convenience, we have a Tissue Paper Flower Kit that has everything you need to make seven flowers.

You can also use them against a wall or to make a beautiful centerpiece for your party! They work perfectly for a little girl’s garden or tea party, a sweet first birthday or even a baby shower. They can be made in any color to fit your color palette. They look so charming you might never want to take them down!
