Vendor Spotlight: Sweet Melody Designs

Welcome to Project Nursery’s new series, spotlighting our Featured Vendors from our Vendor Guide. The guide includes carefully curated vendors from the baby and children industry in design, retail, special services and much more.

Let us introduce you to Sweet Melody Designs, a darling online shop that offers whimsical nursery prints that are not only on trend but also completely customizable. Owner Carrie started her business when curating her own child’s nursery, and she starts each sketch with new moms in mind. We know you’ll love her hand-drawn art just as much as we do! To see more of her prints, please visit her Vendor Portfolio here.

Do you have a signature design element in your artwork?

In addition to having my own style of drawing, my art is unique because everything is customizable. I can take any of my designs and change the colors of each detail so that it can match any nursery. I can also add quotes or personalize the art with a child’s name or birthday.

What about Sweet Melody Designs makes you most proud?

Designing and putting together a nursery is a big deal to every mother. I feel honored by every person that chooses to have my art be a part of their child’s world.

Where do you find your inspiration?

Most of my inspiration comes from my perspective as a mother. I’ll think of a basic idea and imagine what I would want it to look like if it was going to hang in my own child’s nursery. I try to hold each design to a high standard that is “nursery-worthy.”

Be Brave Nursery Art PrintWhat is your biggest piece of advice for new parents?

Enjoy all of the present moments. Don’t always be anxious about your child reaching the next step. They won’t stay little forever, so treasure those early memories.

Your motto?

Don’t put up a new piece of art until I am 100% satisfied with it.
