I would love to win because I believe language is a crucial learning tool that should be practiced as early as the baby stage (would LOVE LOVE LOVE the Early Lingo!). We also cloth diaper and are very fond of Charlie Bananas, and with two friends who are military spouses that no longer live near, it would be nice to send them some of the other prizes (like the Minted gift card and car seat shade) for the shower they won’t really get to have. Being Southern Louisiana-born and raised, I’m no stranger to natural disasters and would also ask that some of the prizes be shipped to other parts of the country that have been recently devastated. While I would love to keep it all, we already own a carrier, baby food set, diaper bag, and crib, and wont be needing a bike for our 9 month old for quite some time, and there are others who have lost everything. I would love to win for we have a 3 yr old and a preemie who should be almost 4 months but is really almost 7 months. Due to suffering from hellp syndrome, I had an emergency c section, put on life support, transported to three hospitals where they said they would try to save my life. After two weeks in the icu, I was off the venilator, no clue where I was, what happened, I didnt even no I had a baby girl at children’s hospital in Wisconsin, fighting for her own life. Fast foward a few months later, my damage to my liver was so severe I have stage 3 cirrhosis, my only chance of survival is liver transplant, which I can’t have due to a freak autoimmune disorder that is so rare there is no name for it. My husband has had to leave his job to care for me and our girls, needless to say money is tight. It would be amazing to win this not just for the things, but to have good news when it seems all news we get is grimm. We would be forever grateful for this dream to come true.
