Give Back with Bravado Designer Nursing Tanks

Bravado’s clever collaboration with new mom and fashion “it-girl” Rebecca Minkoff on their latest Essential Nursing Tanks, Indy and Luca, reminds us that you can be both breastfeeding and stylish. Best of all, you can help support families in need through your nursing tank purchase.

Through this partnership, 20% of all sales from the Luca and Indy tops will be donated to Baby Buggy. In addition, Bravado Designs will also donate a new bra or tank to a mother in need for each Limited Edition tank purchased. “We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone through our collaboration with Rebecca Minkoff,” says Kathryn From, Bravado Designs Managing Director, “and honored to continue to play such a meaningful role in the lives of new mothers everywhere.”

For those of you who don’t know, Baby Buggy is a non-profit organization founded by Jessica Seinfeld. I had a moment to sit down with the mom of three and best-selling cookbook author to ask her about her light bulb moment and Baby Buggy.

(Note to self: Ditch the name tag next time.)

While driving on the Westside Hwy of New York City with comedian husband, Jerry Seinfeld, and their newborn, Jessica tells me that she “didn’t want to go back to their apartment because it was full of stuff. With items literally pouring out of drawers and closets, the apartment was becoming a stressful environment.”

The idea of dumping all the outgrown baby clothes in a random giveaway bin didn’t sit well with Jessica either. She really wanted to know that the clothing and gear she so lovingly picked for her daughter was going to be loved and needed just as it was in her own home. So Jessica called up her new mom friends, many of whom were in similar situations, and they decided to compile their unused baby gear and give it out. “It was easy and basic,” she shares, and the word simply got out.

Twelve years later, Jessica and her incredible team, alongside generous partners such as Bravado, are continuing to make a difference for young families nationwide.

Shop at one of my favorite online destinations, Diapers.com, to get your hands on these designer tanks and do some good.

thanks Melisa for sharing this with us. I am wondering how to volunteer or donate to Baby Buggy.

I love companies that are socially responsible. I think we all should go and support Bravado for this work. What a big hearted company to share 20% of their revenues. And thumbs up to Jessica and Baby Buggy as well!
