DIY: Halloween Onesies

Are you trying to find the perfect costume for your little one? Why not make one? Here is a DIY that shows you how to make three “boootiful” costumes that are quick and easy to do using a onesie, felt and a few sewing notions. Make a skeleton, jack o’ lantern or ghost.

Materials: onesie, felt, template, scissors, thread, pins and either a sewing machine, hand sewing needle or fabric glue

Step 1: Print and cut out the template of the costume of your choice (templates: skeleton, jack o’ lantern and ghost). You can also draw your own pattern if you like.

Step 2: Pin the felt pieces to your onesie and stitch in place. I used a sewing machine here, but hand sewing or fabric gluing everything onto the onesie is also an option. If using fabric glue, you can skip the pinning.

Voila! Your baby is ready for trick or treating!

Take it a step further and make yourself a matching costume using a basic t-shirt. All you need to do is enlarge the templates 100% – 150% and follow the same steps outlined above. We made a matching skeleton!
