Once I found out I was pregnant, the nursery planning quickly began. When I found out I was having a girl, the bigger debate happened – to go pink or not to go pink. I decided to go bright with lemon and lime.

I love penguins. I must know where the yellow bag, penguin booties and knitted penguin came from.

I got the yellow penguin backpack is from Gymboree over the summer. The penguin booties are from Baby Gap from last winter. And the knitted penguin is from Halls.

I absolutely love your use of different patterns. I say it really takes talent to do it and see good results. The argyle wall is also my fave. I also like that paisley star light.

This nursery is gorgeous! Can I ask what the grey paint color is, and what brand/style both the chair and dresser are?

I just LOVE everything about this beautiful room!

I cannot believe this crib is from Walmart! It is so stylish, and I love how you painted the base to make it your own. :)

        Tiffany,
        Thanks Tiffany!

I actually got the dresser off of Craigslist. Here’s what it used to look like:

As for the glider/ottoman, it’s from BuyBuy Baby. I don’t remember the model, but I know it’s the Best Chairs brand. We thought this chair was comfy (and more affordable than some of the others), so spent a little bit more picking out fabric and piping colors.

        Tiffany,

        Tiffany,

I’d also like to know the paint color. I’m searching for the perfect shade of grey with no blue undertones.

Great job!! I am doing a mixed pattern nursery for my twin girls at the moment. I totally agree with you on going to big boxed stores and changing items. I made my own quilts, bed skirts, pillows, and curtains. It’s all about mixing pattern sizes! Great job congrats!!!

Love this nursery so much I’ve shared it with a bunch of my friends. My daughter did a typical pink room for my granddaughter (and I love it) but your color scheme really spoke to me. Actually, the thing that speaks the most is how the nursery blends with the esthetic of your entire home.

        Good job!

love love love!!!!! I’m having a boy…his walls are light blue and I am decorating in navy, green, white and light blue. But I saw this wall and thought it would look great in his room….I so want to do this for the wall where his crib will be. Any tips for creating this wall? Great job on the room and I love that you did such an original color scheme for your baby girl! Beautiful job!

Love the room! I will be getting the same crib and one of the reviews on WalMart which showed a yellow painted base convinced me. I want to paint mine too. Can you maybe share how you painted it? (any sanding? varnishing, which paint?) Thank you super much in advance!
