The ladies behind Big City Moms, Risa Goldberg and Leslie Venokur are well-known in this industry for throwing the absolute biggest and best baby shower events in New York City. Lucky for expecting moms, they are taking their show on the road and will be heading to a few key locations this year. Best of all, Project Nursery gets to be a part of it. We’re thrilled to be teaming up with BCM to be bringing our design experts and nursery know-how to their events in 2012!
Big City Moms is kicking off their first shower of the year in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 28th at The Skirball Center from 6:30-9:30pm. My Co-Founding partner Pam Ginocchio and I will be along side one of our favorite people, Andrika King of Andrika King Design to answer your burning nursery design questions. Our talented friends and Petit Nest Founders Lonni Paul and Tiffani Thiessien will be partnering with us once again to share another stunning nursery set. And lastly, Project Nursery wouldn’t be complete without showcasing a sweets display for your next baby shower or birthday party from Rebekah Dempsey, Creative Director and Party Stylist of A Blissful Nest. We have lots of good things in store and will be blogging more about our partners in the coming weeks.
Exciting guest speakers at the event include: Actress Jessica Alba and Christopher Gavigan, founders of The Honest Company, Dr. Alan Greene, pediatrician and father of four, Actress Ali Landry of Spokesmoms.com, “The Guncles” – Scout Masterson and Bill Horn, author and media personality Samantha Ettus, Wendy Haldeman of The Pump Station, Rachel Sarnoff of Healthy Child, Healthy World and Katie Vaughan of Westside Nannies.
Tickets are already sold out for Los Angeles and there is a wait list. But never fear, we have TWO golden tickets to for one wonderful Project Nursery fan. We’ll tell you how to enter below. And oh yes, every attendee walks away with some serious baby swag.

Hi there, I just discovered Project Nursery from one of my one of my friends. We are both currently expecting, she’s having a little boy, and I have yet to find out what I am having. Coming up with ideas for the nursery has been a challenge, especially when this is both our second child. We would LOVE, I mean LOVE, to attend the Biggest Baby Shower! She would love to meet Jessica Alba and I so want to meet “The Guncles”, love watching them on “Tori & Dean.” (And Scout and I share the same last name!) I really am interested in all of the seminars Meeting y’all of course, finding out what’s the latestand greatest from Kids USA, Spokesmom.com looking at the various nursery gropings that avaible (we have a limited opportunity up here in Northern MN) seeing what’s all of the fuss is about regaring the Diaper Dude and Born Free!
I don’t pretend to know a whole lot about everyone featured, so I think this would be a great way to become informed, pass along first impressions, and allow Project Nursery and Big City Mom’s to enjoy truly what it’s like to introduce someone into the joys of being brought into the “know”
I know there is alot of ladies who are chomping at the bit for this!
I would cherish this experience-I spent my pregnancy in critical condition on Tube Feeding in the hospital and my husband was deployed to Iraq and still have not had a baby shower!

Besides Project Nursery (after all, following your site is the only reason why I even know about the baby shower in the first place – thanks Project Nursery), I’d like to learn more from Born Free, Britax, the Pump Station, and Maxi-cosi. I’m also very interested in attending the various seminars!
I just found out about this event and was very disappointing to find out it is sold out. I want to see Jessica Alba and learn about her baby experience especially as a working mom. I also want to see products from Diaper Dude, get ideas from Project Nursery, and Wendy Hendelman from the pump station. I really want to go and learn as this is my first baby.

There are so many that would be fun to meet Baby Jogger or Bugaboo – and of course so many others!
I guess a better question is who wouldn’t I like to meet. Being pregnant with my first baby I am on the hunt for the perfect stroller/carseat combo, so meeting Bugaboo, Britax, Quinny, Mutsy are a big must! In addition, I love the nursery bedding Olio and Skip Hop have in the market place. I am so glad I found your website, it has been one of the sites I regularly visit since becoming pregnant! I would love to see what Born Free has currently. We are true Born Free Family – the only bottle my son took and we have new nipples for my daughter ready. He nursed until he was 18 months old and refused everything we tried. BF saved me – would love to meet them.

I just subscribed to your newsletter and I am already a fan on Facebook. I have one son who was born at 26 weeks, and I am now on bed rest with my second son for three months. I missed doing pregnancy fun stuff with my son because he came so early and was in the NICU for several months, and now I am on bed rest until this baby is born. I wanted to attend this event so badly and finally get to enjoy being pregnant. I would love to get more information about the products they have at the event, so I can feel like I attended w/o actually being there.
I wanted to see the Petit Nest booth because I love their wooden tree, but it does not seem to be available yet.
