Muralette, Where Murals Meet Stickers

What’s not to appreciate about the time and detail that goes into a mural? Genevieve “Jennie” Smith and Anna Conklin of Magpie Decorative Painting have an impressive portfolio of one-of-a-kind home interiors. Their love bringing nature indoors started young. Longing for the beach, a then 10-yr old Anna, painted the ocean on her bedroom wall, decorated with construction paper palm trees, replaced her 60 watts with some sunset red bulbs, and scattered backyard sand on her floor. Jennie, a fan of the forest, painted tree branches reaching down from the ceiling of her room.

Though the Magpie gals are only available for custom mural art in the Bay Area, they created a product that is as close as you can get to the real thing. Muralette offers the convenience of easy peel-and-stick wall decals, but the finish of hand painted work. I gave their branch and birds pack a try myself!

The directions packet is user friendly, offers suggestions, and encourages creativity. I hid one of the red birds in a separate room as a conversation piece!

Unlike many wall decals, Muralette products are so durable that children can help without the fear of tearing. Should you choose, the decals can be easily removed without harming the finish of your wall. For more designs visit Muralette at Magpie Decorative Painting.

My brother suggested I may like this web site. He used to be entirely right. This post actually made my day. You can not imagine simply how so much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!

Very nice! I like how they've sort of imitated the look of brush strokes. It looks like an authentic mural.

I love the hand painted look. It is difficult to tell the difference.

I think it's great that they've come up with a wall decal with hand-painted effect. I have always loved handpainted stuff. Looking at the close-up photo, I could never tell it's a sticker!
