A Few Of My Favorite Things: Kelly Lyden

The holidays are upon us and to get you in the spirit, we thought we’d share a little shopping inspiration from your friends at Project Nursery. Our team has rounded up the FIVE items they love, cherish, gift or simply can’t live without.

First up, Kelly Lyden of The Party Dress and WH Hostess. Kelly recently made the leap into running her social stationary biz and blog full time. Great things are to come from Kelly and she’s sharing her early favorites.

I’m so excited to kick off the holiday shopping season by sharing a few of my favorite items and gifts with you today!

#1. Lucite Catch All by Dabney Lee I am a sucker for anything lucite!  So the latest trend of serving pieces and catch all’s is right up my alley!  These pieces are so versitile – they can be used as a serving piece for a holiday party, or as an organization tool in the nursery.  This catch-all box from Dabney Lee is on my wish list this season.  It’s the perfect size to place just about anywhere….it can hold your jewelry, your post it notes, or your dog treats! And at only $40 a piece, it makes the perfect gift for just about anyone on my list.

#4. Lollipop Tree Advent Calendar My favorite holiday decoration is the Advent Calendar.  It’s an interactive decoration that your kids can get involved with leading up to Christmas.  I love all of the updated designs I am seeing this season, but this wood lollipop tree takes the prize in my book!  Each branch is numbered with a day and can hold a lollipop, and it makes a darling decoration for your table.  Let this decoration do double duty as a centerpiece for your holiday party, too.

#5. Photo Holiday Cards I have to say that my favorite part of the holiday season is receiving cards from all of my friends with kids.  I love opening up the cards to see all of their smiling faces, and see how much everyone has grown over the last year.  For that reason, I took great pride in creating our collection of photo cards. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or both….photo cards are a darling way to send your warmest wishes this season.

I used to have a set of wooden cups and saucers but I donated them. Now that I have my own kid, I sure wish I haven't! Wooden toys are simply the best! They don't get broken easily.
