A Few of my Favorite Things: Pam Ginocchio

The holidays are upon us and to get you in the spirit, we thought we’d share a little shopping inspiration from your friends at Project Nursery. Our team has rounded up the FIVE items they love, cherish, gift or simply can’t live without.

Nothing gives me more pleasure then finding something unique and cool and then sharing it with family and friends. I can’t tell you how many times Melisa and I have gotten on the phone to discuss business but the day’s newest discoveries, like a new lipstick shade from Armani or a fresh and cool stationary line takes the conversation on a little detour. Now that many of our contributors have posted about their favorite things this holiday season, I am excited to share mine. A little something for baby, a little something for toddler and of course a little something for mommy too.  – Pam

#1. Becoming baby Jelly Balm. If you  have a baby, you can never  have enough of this stuff in the house. Becoming baby is a brand new line of natural skin care for baby that was developed by a pediatrician and mother with a simple philosophy: no unnecessary ingredients, no harsh chemicals, no fragrances. Becoming baby’s Jelly Balm is a jack-of-all trades type of ointment that is great for scratches, bumps, dry patches and even as a barrier cream in the diaper area. Made with nourishing sunflower oil and vitamin E, the balm soothes without preservatives or petroleum. And the luxuriously silky texture is perfect as a lip balm for baby and mommy! More to come on the entire line of Becoming baby products.

#2. Itzy Ritzy Reusable Snack Bags. With one in kindergarten and another in “lunch bunch” 3 days a week, I’m packing a lot of lunches. Before I discovered these amazing reusable and washable snack bags I was disgusted by all the Ziplocks we were churning through each day. I could just see the landfill getting bigger and bigger! These darling Itzy Ritzy reusable snack bags come in the greatest patterns, so style is not compromised, and the lining is made of thick PVC-free material instead of cheap nylon. Throw them in the washer and dryer for easy cleaning. And as an added feel-good bonus Itzy Ritzy has teemed up with World Hunger Relief so that a portion of each sale goes to hunger relief around the globe. One 2 pack of snack bags feeds 40 families!

#3 LG Designs Custom Bulletin Boards. Who says bulletin boards have to be unattractive or boring? Not the designers at LG Custom Accessories. Their bulletin boards are completely customizable  so you can create the perfect fit for any room. Start by choosing the size you need and then pick the type of frame you’d like. I like the chic black bamboo. Then decide on monogram, font and color and you’ve got a one-of-a kind board to display photos, art, notes, etc. I’d love one in my breakfast nook so I can neatly and stylishly display all the artwork that is coming home from school.

#4. Early Rider Lite Bike. Bike riding is a big Saturday afternoon family activity in our house. We break out all the bike gear and peddle over to the park across the street for a bit of open space. Hey, city kids don’t have cul-de-sacs and double wide sidewalks, so we make due. I really like the peddle-free bike concept. Helps with balance, coordination and confidence. After a few months with the Early Rider Lite Bike and my son will be rockin’ a real bike (no training wheels needed) in no time.

#5. Wavy Hoop Earrings from Layla Grayce. My mantra is that hoop earrings never, ever go out of style. A true hoop earring junkie, I wear the style more then anything else in my wardrobe. When I saw this wavy, gold-plated version on Layla Grayce I knew I had to have them. They are the perfect size and the price is divine. With the price of gold sky high a girl can still have get her bling and have money left over for gifts this holiday season. Nice!

I'm thinking of giving my son a bike for the holidays. I think he is ready for a big-boy bike like this. Does this bike come in other colors, like light blue, or perhaps black?
