Gallery Round Up: Best of Polka Dots and Stripes

A few years back I had a self-intervention. It was time to face my addictions before it came to the point where a loved one had to do it for me. My overindulgence? Stripes and Polka Dots. My pillows, my cardigans, my stationary… all adorned with those darn little lines and circles. “They’re Rock Star, but not too Rock Star,” I’d say to my friends as I was justifying my purchases come register time. Well here I am today, fully recovered and appreciative of all patterns and solids alike. Will you forgive me if I do a little Gallery Round Up on my top picks for stripes and dotted nurseries? The envelope please…

Polka Dot winner goes to “Dotty About Baby” .This nursery uses textured circles in the window treatment and mimics the design through the paper lanterns and stacked wooden rounds, displayed on a wall shelf. It’s warm and so tastefully done you won’t leave seeing spots!

“Lemon Twist Twin Nursery” takes the gold for best stripes! I really like the refreshing choice for an accent wall. The furniture picks up the white stripes and the thoughtful choice of stuffed toys pulls color from both the carpet and paint.
