Good Things Come From Canada

We’ve recently seen an increase in readership by our Canadian friends. So this got me thinking about our neighbors to the north and I figured it was about time we highlight some terrific Canadian companies!

Are you looking for cool kids accessories to add a bit of decor and functionality to your room? Homeworks Etc. Furniture and Accessories offers an array of painted wall decor crafted from wood. My favorites include their decorative hooks: The ones I can never seem to find in stores when I need them. Maybe it’s because they’ve been in Canada all this time!

Just the other day my girlfriend was complaining that her toddler furniture choices were limited when it came to quality, price and selection. With 18 various finishes to choose from, we can all add Mother Hubbard’s Cupboards to our list. MHC Furniture specializes in baby furnishings and kids bedroom sets. What better way to show you a sample of their nursery line (coupled with Homeworks Etc. wall art) than with a clip from Canada’s Entertainment Tonight featuring radio personality Billie Holiday’s nursery reveal.  Warning: This is a glamorous pink on pink princess nursery.

I'm just waiting to see if our house sells before I do anymore work on her room! I hate that it's still in "transition" mode, hopefully something will happen soon! I bought a beautiful big chandelier for it, but it's sitting in the garage because we decided to list the house!

I love the pink/black/white nursery in the video! Yes, it's VERY princessy...but I can't help myself. It's great inspiration for Kate's "big girl" room that I'm doing in the same colors! It also reminds me of this fabulous inspiration board you ladies created that I LOVED: http://projectnursery.com/2008/08/designing-for-an-a-list-baby/
